Question 5: In your opinion, what is one thing the City could do to build a strong ethical culture in City government? In my opinion, one thing the City could consider towards strengthening ethical culture in City government are Ethical Seminars. For example, City government recently welcomed Mental Health First Aid USA and there was an overwhelmingly response. Maybe the same idea could be applied and hosted at Capital One Cafe 135 S 17th St in small groups of City employees. Theoretically, interested employees sign up for ethical workshops where ethical issues and policies are uniquely introduced through a PowerPoint presentation. With the comfortable environment of the cafe; serving coffee and baked treats, almost every employee may want to learn about how to deal with ethical issues. City government could also use this platform to provide literature of Integrity Officers in each department; possibly reenact and stage scenarios for visual learners; create a question box and at the end of the class, anonymous questions are answered out loud; etc.
